My current project is writing, and then writing more! Flash prose and an auto-ethnography of working in higher education is my focus.

Explore what it takes to build and maintain intentional community in the workplace. Valuing each person’s identities, experiences, talents, and skills make the difference. Cultural understanding, authentic and intentional inclusion, and value-based leadership are integral parts of targeted universalism and developing and maintaining a workplace where everyone feels part of the work family. Communal values help create environments that are designed with everyone in mind.

Looking back and moving forward – knowing our history helps us understand the context of where we are and where we want to go. Highlights of an often-overlooked history and its impact will be explored.

Storytelling for Personal and Professional Growth

Storytelling is a vital aspect of connecting with others. We pass on our history and perspectives, whether we are using fiction or non-fiction as our medium. We can transmit ideas, feelings, beliefs, and enjoy it! I can share part of my journey and provide suggestions and space for individuals to start to share their own (writing time, which need not be shared).
